Mobile Googling Surpasses Desktop for First Time

It's been predicted for a while, but now it's a reality.  Searches on Google on mobile devices has surpassed searches on laptops and PC desktops.  Google announced the milestone at a digital advertising conference on Tuesday, May 5.

What does this mean for Venice FL real estate agents?

It means agents will need to have a website with what is called a "responsive design" which automatically detects the device being used, and sizes the content to fit.

It also means that agents who are listing property will need to make sure they have a mobile strategy in place, above and beyond the MLS and their broker sites, so their listings can be easily found by smartphone users.

New Sarasota County Flood Maps

Sarasota County has come out with new flood zone maps that have everyone talking. Take a look at how the new preliminary flood zones affect the South Venice area: South Venice FL flood map The darker green shows the existing FEMA AE zone, and the lighter green shade shows the preliminary changes to the 2016 AE flood zone.
